Great blog post!

I totally agree that social media transformed last night's show from standard documentary to must-watch telly event.

Watching my own social media feeds it certainly seemed that everyone was talking about it and those that didn't know what was going on were desperate to find out.

A real coup for Channel 4 - it will be interesting to see how other broadcasters use social media going forward. I suspect that just flashing up a hash tag at the start of a show does not have quite the same impact!

Great post. I share your pain.

I was right there alongside Lynn Truss wanting to hold a big banner up in Leicester Square to point out that the film title 'Four Weeks Notice' needs an apostrophe.

What we must not lose in the drive for expediancy is clarity of sentiment, so I still think there is a big role for grammar in the digital world.

Hope all the team at Orchard are well.

Feeling very nostalgic as the memories flood back... I think I'm right in saying I was the third official Orchard PR employee, all those years ago in 1997!

And at the risk of making him blush, Steve Falla was the best manager and mentor I ever had. I learnt so much and had lots of laughs over two diverse and packed years.

It's fantastic to see how Orchard has gone from strength to strength over the last decade and a half. And as I sit here heading up my own small PR consultancy 'down under' in Western Australia, I feel very proud and fortunate to have had the opportunity to play a very small part in the company's history.

Here's to the future Orchard PR!! And happy sweet 16th birthday.
